Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • pounds ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • cup BBQ sauce (I love Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 8-12 soft hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until they turn clear, which takes between 3-5 minutes. Add the ground beef and stir while chopping it up with a sturdy spatula. Cook until the beef is thoroughly browned all the way through, this takes about 10 minutes. Drain off the extra fat.
  • Mix in the tomato paste, try to get it to coat all the meat evenly. Then add the BBQ sauce, ketchup, and Worcestershire Sauce. Bring this all to a boil while stirring. In about 4-5 minutes it will start to thicken up a bit.
  • Apply the cooked meat generously to a soft hamburger bun and eat. Let the bun soak up the delicious juices, it will be easier to chew.
