Blueberry Peach Smoothie

Tonight I ate a giant, chile relleno stuffed burrito cooked enchilada style. I also helped my wife eat the mother of all chimichangas. My stomach looked up at me and said, “Why are you doing this?” After that much saturated fat and grease, I wasn’t feeling optimal. I needed something fresh. Something that made me feel like I could still make good choices with my life.  I needed a smoothie. Not some frilly smoothie with 9 ingredients that tastes like a bucket of frosting. I needed something rejuvenating and refreshing.

I grabbed a can of peaches and dumped it in a blender. I filled that same can up with frozen blueberries and dumped it in too. When I drank the contents of that blender, all the bad feelings went away. Blueberry Peach Smoothie has a natural sweetness interwoven with a refreshing tartness. Blueberries and peaches were made for each other. You don’t need anything else, just two ingredients and a can……and a blender.

Learn from my mistakes, eat good things. Eat this smoothie. Or drink it, you can drink it too.

If your eating situation requires this to be a thinner or thicker consistency, it’s easy to do. You can make it thinner by adding any juice, or you can thicken it with a food/drink thickener of your choosing.

I’ve had a vitamix blender for the last 10-ish years. I only had an issue with it once and the company replaced the whole thing for free. I have been very impressed with them. I have yet to find a food that it could not turn into a velvety smooth liquid. We use it for soups, hummus, sauces, smoothies, milkshakes, dressings, and a lot more things that I can’t remember right now because it’s almost midnight as I’m typing this. The point is, if you have any difficulties eating, you need a good blender. You can waste money on cheaper blenders that break, or you can spend a little extra and get a blender that lasts; a blender that helps you forget you ever had trouble eating in the first place.

This makes the smoothest purees on planet earth!
