In Tokyo, Japan in January of 2019, a 612 pound Bluefin Tuna was sold for $3.1 million. It was bought by a Sushi restaurant owner named Kiyoshi Kimura. After buying it in an auction, he said, “The tuna looks so tasty because it’s fat and (looks) very fresh. It is a good tuna. But I think I did too much.”
