Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf

I went to Dental School in Buffalo, New York. In addition to learning about teeth and how to drive in the snow, I also learned about the magic and wonder of the Buffalo Wing.  Buffalo Wings were invented in 1964 at the Anchor Bar in downtown Buffalo. I would go to the original Anchor Bar when I was on pediatric dentistry rotations. Chicken, butter, and hot sauce. It’s all you need. Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf combines the legendary flavor of Buffalo wings with the scientific innovation that is the modern meatloaf. It is filling, flavorful, and easy to chew; exactly what a good meal should be. When I eat Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf, it reminds me of my home away from home. It reminds me of Niagara Falls, 5 foot snow falls, Wegmans grocery stores, and a lot of time spent in libraries. So go and cook this recipe, make some memories of your own!

    • Bake for 60 minutes at 350° F. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and eating. I like to top it with more Frank's hot sauce.

    Easy To Chew

Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf is soft, moist, and contains multiple soft textures. It is soft enough that, with minimal effort, they can be easily formed into swallowable-sized portions.

if you require a pureed texture, just add the cooked meatloaf to a food processor and blend until smooth. You can add a little chicken broth if you need to thin it. Be sure to top the puree with hot sauce!

Each year around labor day weekend, the National Buffalo Wing Festival is held in Buffalo, New York. Every year, around 80,000 people gather and eat 3,000,000 buffalo wings. They also host the professional buffalo wing eating competition. In 2017, competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut set the record, eating 220 buffalo wings in 12 minutes.

Chicken contains all nine amino acids, making it a complete protein. Chicken also contains relatively little connective tissue which makes it easier to chew.

There are many different types of buffalo wings out there, with just as many types of hot sauces. My favorite buffalo wing hot sauce is Frank’s Hot Sauce. Not only is it great on this meatloaf, but it is one of my favorite things to put on eggs. Get some for yourself HERE.

This is the world's best hot sauce!
