Cream of Wheat is among the most easy-to-chew foods in existence. It is fortified with nutrients and requires no chewing. That’s right, no chewing at all. One of my favorite characteristics of Cream of Wheat is the texture. It’s satisfying smoothness is unparalleled. One of its downsides however, is its absence of flavor. This fall, my wife bought 30 pounds of apples from a farmer. We ran out of things to do with apples so we made apple jam. Apple jam was a definite winner! I decided to combine its superior flavor with the superior texture of Cream of Wheat. The result is better than expected, and is one of the best ways you can start your day.
Any apples will work, use your favorite!
In a sauce pan on high heat, combine water and chopped apples and bring water to a boil. Cook for about 15 minutes, apples will start to become soft Add sugar and reduce heat to medium. While stirring frequently, cook for another 25 minutes, mixture will start becoming more jam like.
Stir in the lemon juice and the cinnamon stick. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 5 more minutes. Turn of the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. The jam should be thicker at this point, if you would like it thicker then no worries, just cook it longer. Take out the cinnamon stick and store in the fridge.
When you are ready for breakfast, cook your desired amount of cream of wheat (as directed on packaging) and stir however much apple jam you want.

Cream of Wheat with Apple Jam is soft, moist, and contain multiple soft textures. Any textures requiring chewing have been prepared so that there are no pieces larger than ¼ inch (or 6mm). These foods are soft enough that, with minimal effort, they can be easily formed into swallowable-sized portions.
If you require a pureed texture, just run the apple jam through a blender or food processor until smooth, then add it to the cooked cream of wheat.
